Both XTrack Personnel Accountability and Training Attendance use barcoded accountability tags to uniquely identify firefighters. The XTrack System is very flexible in the way that different variations of accountability tags can be used.
Accountability Tags come with the XTrack Package and are customized to the department. However, if a department already has tags we can work with those tags as well by affixing a barcode on them. Basically all XTrack is looking for is the unique identifier for each personnel, so we can use existing badge or personnel id numbers or create new ones. Alternatively, We can supply heat resistant barcode tags to apply directly to helmets.
Personnel do not have to use tags at all. XTrack's flexible data entry model uses the keypad on the handheld and on-screen name drop-down lists that eliminate the requirement to scan altogether.
